About Us
Hani was my dog.
She was a little mischievous, but always gentle at heart.
And, if we're being honest, she was a rather pretty Shih Tzu.
(Her son, Duri, inherited at least some of her charm.)
In my illustrations, however, Hani is portrayed as a gender-neutral character so that everyone can simply enjoy her for who she is.
The name "Gentle Hani" carries a double meaning.
First, it's a tribute to my beloved dog, Hani — the gentle friend who inspired this character.
Second, it's a playful nod to the Korean phrase "젠틀하니?",
which can be understood as:
"Are you gentle?"
So, are you?
I hope the world fills up with more gentle friends — humans included.

Hani pairs traditional Korean attire with a pair of sunglasses,
bringing timeless values into the modern world with a playful twist.
